Frequently asked questions by guests wishing to stay at High Tide Holiday Cottage, Filey. If you have any questions not answered in this page please feel free to contact us.
What is included in the rent?
All bedding and towels are provided but if you wish to use the pool, gym or beach please bring your own towels for that purpose. Welcome pack including small selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Gas and electricity are included but please be considerate to the environment and only use what you need. Wi-Fi in the cottage. Use of communal pool, gym, sauna and steam room.
How do I book?
When you make a booking on this website you are booking directly with Wendy and Neal Covington, the owners of High Tide Cottage itself. We are a family business which is run independently from The Bay.
If you would like to book a stay at High Tide, please complete our online form on our Contact page. We will then be in touch to confirm the price & deposit details and send you a booking form. Once the payment and booking form are received back the booking is confirmed. Our preferred payment method is bank transfer but you can also pay by cheque. Please note all bookings are subject to terms and conditions.
Are assistance dogs allowed at High Tide?
In line with the UK Equality Act, assistance dogs are allowed in High Tide. Please see the terms and conditions for more information regarding assistance dogs.
Does High Tide have disabled access?
High Tide is a 2 storey house with stepped access so is unsuitable for wheelchair users. Also the shower is above the bath so may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.
Can I smoke in High Tide?
High Tide is strictly no smoking. This includes e-cigarettes/vaping.
Does High Tide have private parking?
There is no private parking but there is plenty of parking available on Woodspring Way. Click here for more information regarding the location of High Tide and the nearest parking.
How do I gain access to High Tide?
Everyone who books a stay at High Tide will be contacted approximately 3-5 days before their stay with details of the key arrangements.
What time can I access High Tide on the first day and leave on the last day?
You can access High Tide from 4:00pm on the first day of your stay. Please vacate by 10:00am on your last day.
Where is the nearest place to buy groceries?
There is a small Co-op in the centre of Hunmanby which is approximately 1 mile away. Otherwise there is a Tesco in Filey next to the bus station.
Does High Tide have a freezer?
There is a small ice compartment at the top of the fridge which is big enough for a few small items. High Tide does not have a separate freezer.
Is there room for a cot?
Yes, the cot will fit in both bedrooms.
